After changing them twice during my most recent testing round, I realized batteries were lasting only about two weeks. Since then, one contact sensor has just recently started burning through CR2032 batteries faster than normal. It can be difficult to know the date and time of the live feed, too, as that info is displayed in a really tiny font. The app is intuitive enough, but the fact that when I open up the Wyze app and I don’t immediately view a live feed - in the app, I had to click on the camera, initiate the live feed and then wait for it to load - gets frustrating. As it stands now, the system is a solid value, especially if you currently lack home security or are on an older system. It’ll be interesting to see if Wyze addresses this in a Wyze Cam V4, as I would happily pay more for the safety net. To alleviate this worry, you can get two separate power-storing backups, one for the camera and one for the modem and router. Before now, you couldn’t silence the arming countdown on your Wyze Keypad.

The software flaw was found by Bitdefender, and claims it reported the issues to Wyze all the way back in 2019.
